In the context where Web3 projects faces challenges in enhancing user engagement, Gall3ry introduces On-chain Content (OCC) to cultivate NFT owner experience, and unlock various potentials to develop user retention.

Gall3ry introduces On-Chain Content (OCC) to Innovate Web3 User Engagement

As we all know, the growth in Web3 is different from Web2. The fact that an exponential part of Web3 projects launching successfully to the market is due to the community support. That’s when the term “community-driven” came into the situation to emphasize that communities are the best judges of how the projects can be improved. If provided with adequate resources and information, a large number of real users that interact with the project can make its launch hype up.

However, maintaining and building a hype community are not easy work. It’s a close-knit relationship that project owners should build between themselves and their end-users — who use their products, own their tokens, or NFTs. Like any other community building process, project owners need to always pay attention to the desire of their users, meet their need of utilities, incentives, and especially make them feel listened to and free to express themselves. That’s when the bonding is made, and the project grows with a strong community support. This is the scenario that Gall3ry — a marketing promoter for Web3 projects — aims to develop and particularly help NFT-relating projects to grow with a high user retention in the post-launching phase as well as let users to truly own their ownerships in the decentralized world.

The downside of user engagement in the post-minting phase

While researching the post-minting phase, we found some challenges that Web3 projects owner often meet:

  1. Limitation in a closed ecosystem: Most Web3 projects operate in closed ecosystems, which limits rewards and lessens value for users in their communities. A closed ecosystem results in the source of value only being on the tokens or the NFT, which means it is strictly bounded by the utilities of the NFT. In the case the technical side has not been ready yet, it will lead to the decrease of interest and attention.
  2. Transactional relationship is the only thing that matters: The nature of Web3 industry is the financial benefit. When people come for financial benefits, they are easier to leave when the project is facing financial difficulties. Fostering a meaningful and trusting relationship to build a long-term community is what Web3 businesses should pay attention to.
  3. Lack of ownership: Owning an asset is not only storing it in your wallet. It’s also about having full control over using that and freely showing it out to others. However, until now, NFT collectors find few ways to show off their ownership towards their favorite NFTs or in-game assets except for only capturing the asset and sending out as jpeg files or a series of on-chain numbers.

Gall3ry approach to solve the problem of Web3 user engagement

To solve the above problems, Gall3ry approaches are the combine of:

  • Bringing more add-on post-minting utilities.
  • Empowering the ownership towards end-users.
  • Optimization of the on-chain and off-chain data.
  • Web3 emotion orientation.

On-chain Content — The spark to Web3 community engagement

On-chain content is a combination of on-chain and off-chain data converted into NFTs and securely stored on a blockchain network.

There are two types of OCC:

  • On-chain NFT (Memento): Contents are stored as fixed on-chain achievements permanently. It can not automatically change its metadata based on external conditions.
  • D-NFT (Dynamic NFT): OCC can automatically change its metadata based on external conditions.

On-chain and off-chain data need to go through the Tokenization process to become OCC. With OCC Tokenizer, or being called “MicroDapp”, Web3 projects can generate OCC quickly in a few steps. This innovative concept covers both static and dynamic metadata elements, gathered on ID cards, passes, certificates, POAPs, and mementos. Based on the Web3 projects demand, it can be quickly set up and let the end-users freely try out.

How OCC will be the next generation of Web3 community building

  1. Permanence: On-chain Content is stored on the blockchain so the content cannot be compromised or changed by anyone. User’s achievements, informations will be on blockchain permanently as a “memorial locket”, which then enhances the emotional value.
  2. A portrait of an on-chain asset: Each OCC is a combination of both on-chain and off-chain data (assets and experiences), which means it contains the clearer picture of the owner with more feelings and richer context. For example, an Axie iD Card is the combination of on-chain data, like collection tag, purity, etc. and off-chain data like Axie name, lev, etc. When the Axie has a new name, or reaches a higher level, the OCC may automatically update the latest data in the journey of a Web3 player. Emotions of attachment, closeness, respect, and love are nurtured and fostered and those emotional values make users want to own more and hold longer.
  3. Interactive capabilities for higher retention rate: With multiple layers of interactivity, OCC enables holders to participate in a variety of interactive and post-minting activities. With more meaningful interactivities, projects can bring higher retention rate while reserving effort in producing more technical utilities. This revolution significantly enhances ownership value and prolongs the NFT ownership journey and keeps the retention rate high.
  4. The mix of Web2 and Web3 marketing: On-chain Content transforms traditional content creation. OCC can be shared into Web2 platforms, like X.com, to authentically verify the ownership. Thus the Web3 community culture is not limited to those on-chain platforms but also can expand to the Web2 social media. With this, the impression on the project’s campaign will be improved, and with the user’s creativity when creating content, the engagement in Web3 will be approachable.
